Garrisons Lake Golf Club is “your place to play,” and one of Delaware’s most popular golf courses. This newly renovated championship golf course is built on 160-acres. It was originally built as a 9-hole private club in 1962, with the second nine added in 1963. In 2006, the Delaware Division of Parks and Recreation began renovations of the course. While the layout remains basically the same as originally designed by Edmund Ault, the renovation changes were designed and overseen by Ault’s son, Brian.
Update from Garrisons Lake (as of March 27, 2020):
Jonathan’s Landing continues continue to amplify and enhance all of our cleaning and health maintenance protocols in response to all current CDC and State of Delaware directives and recommendations, especially around our golf course and carts which remain open. Johnathan’s Landing is open for business to golfers and passholders. We are currently exempt from the other mandatory closures as noted in Governor Carney’s messaging earlier this week.
Out of an abundance of caution and concern for guest safety and Garrisons Lake Golf Club’s desire to keep our customers healthy, we are pro-actively mandating ONE player per golf cart for the foreseeable future. This will unfortunately limit the number of golfers permitted to ride at any time, so we are limiting tee times to 12-16 per hour in order to help try to ensure that a golf cart will be available to a guest wanting to use one. However, carts will be available on a first come first served basis contingent upon tee time and may not be “held” in advance. We will keep as many of our golf carts will be in rotation as possible. Walkers and pull carts are always permitted.
All golf outings are suspended until May 15th, a date that may change as circumstances change.
